“Second year running I have won First Prize in an International Women’s Day Art Prize. This year my entry was very different to the last, was painted quickly in five values and entered two hours before entries closed. It is a portrait of my brother, Tony, which my niece requested I paint for his 70th birthday. When I received the call to say I’d won I was thrilled and rather surprised. Thank you Barry for making VAA such an excellent learning program.”
